I

Dear readers,

And so it begins the tale of a mystery that never managed to be unveiled…

Derek, Forester, Allen, Amy, Harvard, Tiffany and Emma were just ordinary university students, apart from their very close relationship. They were also quite infamous in the town as the most daring group of people around. They boasted of their adventures in the jungle where a giant bear lived and also of their swimming vacation in the river that is close to the great waterfall. These daring actions were part of a whole lot they have done, and managed to gain recognition by the town, but these are coming to an end pretty soon…

“You’ve got to be kidding me! There could never be such a beautiful thing in that bloody hill! I mean it’s so remote!” Derek exclaimed as he looked at the picture in the book.

“No kidding, man! Look here, it says that it has been there since 1939. That’s like the beginning of World War 2. We gotta check it out one day!” Forester, the only kid that ever got a perfect score in history, pointed out. “Other than that, look here,” he dashed his hand towards a bolded sentence somewhere in the middle of the write-up.

Before Derek could read it, Emma hugged Forester from behind as she popped her head between Forester’s and Derek’s. “Wow… Nice building… Is it for me, dear?”

Forester smiled sweetly at Emma. Forester and Emma had been the hottest topic amongst the students. They acted as if they’re getting married soon. The contrast between them: both blonde, have a good sense of humour, ever cheerful, very fascinated with history and past events and have a dire desire to do unexpected things… Derek on the other hand was born with naturally grey hair, wearing frameless specs, the shortest guy in the group (taller than the girls, though), and loved architecture.

“Sorry, Emmy, I think it had been rammed down a few months ago. I read it somewhere in the newspaper.”

“Hmm… pity. But doesn’t concern us,” She smiled and kissed Forester on the cheek.

“I think we better get going. Thanks for the info, Forester!” Derek placed the book on the floor and the three moved towards the cafeteria. The book slowly turned to dust as Derek walked away.

Derek had a vivid memory of the building. He could not see anything like it anymore, but it would be nice to be able to build something like that. A gigantic castle on top of the hill, with clouds surrounding it, pure white, with bricks that reflected the sunlight making it glitter, and a large pool, where people could swim and enjoy the morning sun. That was the best part of the memory, and he would love it to stay like that.

On their usual table sat the four other members. Allen, the computer wiz, Amy, charming as well as a very good pretender, Harvard, the smartest student in the whole college, and Tiffany, who’s most fascinated with spirits. They were happily chatting away. Derek, Forester and Emma joined in.

Dusk came when the group of seven finished having their fun at the arcade. They all got into their cars. Then, Derek felt a force pulling him, and a whisper within his head. Without their usual farewell, Derek zoomed off in his Ferrari towards the outskirts, his car engine breaking the silence of the roads. The others were surprised of Derek’s odd behaviour. He was always the last to go and from the years they knew him, he would never ever stress his engine the way he just did. They exchanged looks and hastily stumbled into their cars and followed Derek. It was tough for them to catch up as Derek drove insanely along the winding road, pressing the break pedal only once awhile in emergence.

“Look, Al. Derek’s there!” Amy pointed out at the black Ferrari parked beside a steep road leading up a hill.

Allen parked his car right beside Derek’s, followed by Forester and Harvard. The six of them took a deep breath and began walking up the road. There was a sign there, but it had been completely shielded by the wild grass that was only a little bit short of six feet tall. The six walked past the sign… and from afar, someone in a cloak punched the digits on his phone…

Hey dude! Maybe you wanna do a first page where you tell us roughly what the story is about first.

People generally like to know what genre of story they're reading before they read it yea

And I'll pass word of this around to some of my friends from the blogging community k? It's some pretty good stuff going on here but I suggest you put an anti-copy code in your HTML

avoid ppl stealing ure stories. I can give you the code if you want. Just contact me or something
